Work Packages and Timeline

The six work packages overlapped with regard to the different tasks and duties of the individual EUROVOLT project partners and project periods.

Work package 1: August 05 - January 06

a) The creation of the detailed conceptual, structural and organisational EUROVOLT framework as well as pinning down the evaluation criteria for vocational language teacher training and vocational language learning courses: all project partners.

b) Installation of the EUROVOLT internal communication project platform (on it'slearning): itsolutions and Verband Wiener Volksbildung.

Work package 1 (cont.): February 06 - August 07

c) Creation of the Virtual Learning Environment (on MOODLE and ITSLEARNING platform): Installation and development of the EUROVOLT teacher training course by itsolutions, Verband Wiener Volksbildung, University of Southampton, University of Potsdam, SWPS, Folkuniversitetet, NTNU (in collaboration with Nordland Fylkeskommune).

d) Local and international online VOLL teacher education pilot courses (Blended Learning concept; online, incl. evaluation and re-design).

e) Creation of a special VLE area on the eurovolt.net site with links to other external Good Practice projects in the field.

Work package 2: February 06 - October 07

a) The creation of the conceptual, structural and organisational VOLL model language courses framework (exemplary material): all project partners.

b) Installation and development of the exemplary language learning modules as well as short pilot courses (incl. evaluation and re-design in the respective countries).

c) Creation of a special VLE area with links to other external models of good practice in vocational language learning on the eurovolt.net site.

Work package 3: February 06 - October 07

Certification of VOLL teacher education:
a) ICC in collaboration with all project partners.
b) All universities co-operate according to the ECTS (European Credit and Transfer System) where applicable. The Donau University Krems/Austria co-operates with Verband Wiener Volksbildung.

Work package 4: October 06 - October 07

Development of EUROVOLT manual and CD-Rom: Verband Wiener Volksbildung in collaboration with all project partners.

Work package 5: August 05 - September 07

Project evaluation: University of Hagen in collaboration with all project partners.

Work package 6: June  06 - October 07

Valorisation/Dissemination: University of Potsdam in collaboration with all project partners.
